Rio

This is Rio - another of those adorable dogs with the heart around his face! He is a 1-year-old Shepherd mix who weighs 40 lbs and is probably fully grown. Rio was found on the street, all by himself and very small. He was unable to take care of himself so was brought into rescue. How could we say no to this sweet face?

Rio wants to get to know new people a bit but he warms up quickly as he gains confidence that you are one of the good ones. Want to be his best friend? He loves to play in water and not all dogs do so that's a great way to bring out his happiest self - maybe you do too? Rio lives with other small and large dogs- and cats, so if you already have a friend for him, he would like that as well.

He is affectionate and a sweet, loving boy who is waiting for his new family to find him and bring him home. I wouldn't wait if I were you - dogs like Rio go pretty quickly.
